If the DV7 software is installed on an external drive (SSD, USB flash drive etc.), back up your Secure Folder data or copy the "ENCDataVault" folder to your desktop, before proceeding to delete all the DataVault files and folders to start a fresh installation. If you want to save the files stored in your Secure Folders, then before uninstalling DV7 you will first need to back up those Secure Folders, or copy the “ENCDataVault” folder and paste it to your desktop.
When you remove the DataVault 7 software from your computer and prepare for reinstallation of the software, you are also removing the Secure Folder (with your files), and a Settings folder, unless you take steps to save your data files.
